I just checked Daniel Roebuck’s facebook page…

I just checked Daniel Roebuck’s facebook page.  He play’s Dave Karofsky’s father Paul on Glee.  This is currently his profile pic.

I still really wish we could have seen that scene, as hard as it would have been to watch. It’s so beautiful and tragic, how Dave’s just clinging to him, like, ‘oh my god, daddy, don’t leave me, please’ and Paul looks so desperately relieved that his son, by some miracle, survived and they’re just clinging to each other like if they don’t, they’ll both disappear, leaving the other with that former feeling of sudden, complete helplessness.

christ…

I already reblogged this, but you just put my thoughts into words.

Seriously, why did they cut this? Was it for time? Because it didn’t fit? Just…what? Cause I could have done without some of the Regionals bit to be honest if it would have meant getting this scene. I mean…we already got so much and I’m still ridiculously and incredibly grateful, but still, this…this scene man. Fingers crossed it’ll at least be a deleted scene. Please, please lord please.

My best guess as to why? Suspense. I think the director wanted to keep the question of “is Dave alive or not?” up in the air until the moment when Figgins says “attempts like David’s.” I suppose then they could have cut back to the scene where Dave is resuscitated. But still.

IT BETTER BE ON THE DVD EXTRAS THOUGH!!

I think so too. I mean, even though we’d seen the screencap of him alive and well, I panicked for a moment.
