I can’t tell you how irrationally angry I got at Darren for his angry herp derp faces during Cough Syrup. Through the script he would have known that his performance would be spliced into a montage of Karofsky’s descent into suicide. I found it blatantly disrespectful to make those ridiculous show faces and try to pull focus from a very serious subject onto himself. It’s like he has absolutely no awareness of anything except what revolves around him. It was totally distracting from the importance of Karofsky’s story, and the stories of people like Jamey Rodemeyer and Seth Walsh which it was supposed to represent. He treated the subject of LGBT suicides with no delicacy and instead made it a performance all about him.

I’m sorry what? Yes Darren knew but Blaine didn’t. It’s about Blaine singing a song. He didn’t know anything about Karofsky. I’m not a Blaine fan but this is just stupid. It was better that he just sang naturally.
Like honestly, are you serious right now? That is some pretty intense, blinding Blaine-hate if you notice and object to this over THE TWO CHARACTERS WHO JOKED ABOUT KILLING THEMSELVES (“TWICE TO MAKE SURE”) the scene prior.
If you’re mad about the composition of the scene (the splicing of Blaine’s COMPLETELY-IN-CHARACTER show faces with Dave’s suicide), blame the editors. Don’t blame DARREN or BLAINE. Blaine, as a character, had NO knowledge of Dave’s suicide, and if Darren had played him that way IT WOULD HAVE MADE NO SENSE.
