Who here HATES this bitch? Huh?
You know we’ve all asked. We’ve all wondered. We’ve only ever seen Dave’s dad, and he seemed so loving and understanding. Why couldn’t Dave just come out to his dad?
And yes, okay, it was shoehorned in, it was a throwaway line, Dave kind of HAS had DriveBy!Characterization lately.
But.
HIS MUM. THINKS BEING GAY IS A DISEASE.
His mum. His giver of life. The woman who raised him and made his sandwiches and took him to Supercuts. Thinks homosexuality is a sickness. Told him homosexuality is a sickness. Every fucking day of his life.
THIS IS WHY DAVE COULDN’T COME OUT AT HOME.
THIS IS WHY DAVE WAS SO SCARED THAT HE COULDN’T EVEN BE HIMSELF WITHIN THE WALLS OF HIS OWN HOME.
His own mother.
FUCKING DAMMIT, MY HEART.
